Leadership Conferences

Getting involved in FCCLA is a great way to travel. FHS FCCLA has traveled all over Nebraska and even a few states. At FCCLA Leadership Conferences members attend keynote speakers and breakout sessions to learn all about FCCLA and ways to be a better leader in our communities, schools, families, and our futures. 
Fall Leadership Workshop

At the 2018 Fall Leadership Workshop in Kearney, Ne this group of girls attended breakout sessions that included, "First Year Members," "How to Run an Efficient Meeting," and inspirational breakouts about perseverance and breaking barriers. Senior Taylea Mills led the whole conference in the opening ceremony Pledge of Allegiance. 

District Leadership Conference

At the 2018 District 2 Leadership Conference at Centennial High School FHS FCCLA brought 19 eager members to learn about FCCLA. At this Conference our members attended keynote speakers from Men's Wearhouse and from Jana's Campaign along with many breakout sessions about Culinary Arts and Self Defense. 

National Cluster Event

FHS FCCLA has attended the last two National Cluster Events. In 2017 we took 6 members to Oklahoma City where we learned a lot about FCCLA and got the chance to visit the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial and the OKC Zoo. In 2018, 12 members traveled to Louisville kentucky and even competed in National Competitions and visited Churchill Downs Horse racetrack and Louisville Slugger Factory. 

Peer Education Conference

FHS FCCLA has attended the last 3 Peer Education Conference where students have enjoyed learned about FCCLA National Programs and what our state is doing to get involved in these programs.

State Leadership Conference

At the 2018 Nebraska State Leadership Conference in downtown Lincoln FHS members got the chance to attend many excellent breakout sessions about FCCLA and explored the Haymarket area. 

National Conference

In the summer of 2018, one FHS member got the chance to attend the National FCCLA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia and represent Nebraska in the Chapter In Review Display Sr. Division STAR Competition. Izze Schwab earned 2nd place at state STAR and then locked in 4th place at the national level. In Atlanta Izze, her mom and her advisor got the chance to visit the CNN Trades Center, Georgia Aquarium, and experience Georgia.
