Every year around Thanksgiving time, all 3 schools in Fairbury participate in a Food Drive Event. Central, Jefferson, and the High School all bring non-parishable food items and which ever school brings the most, their principal dresses up like a turkey the day before Thanksgiving break.
The community of Fairbury hosts a Halloween event every year around our downtown for children to walk around and Trick-or-Treat at different businesses and organizations of the community. For the past few years, FCCLA has given out children's books.
FCCLA collects recycling at the high school every other Wednesday during the school year from all classrooms. In 2015 we made nice containers to be put in all classrooms to encourage students and staff to recycle.

A new event for FHS FCCLA is a First Responders Appreciation Meal held in April during National First Responders Appreciation Week. in 2018 we prepared a meal of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, drinks and desert to thank those who keep our community safe.
To kick off our annual Christmas party, FCCLA members along with members from FBLA, SkillsUSA and FFA partake in Christmas caroling at our local Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes.
During our February meeting of each year, members write Valentines cards to deliver to residents at our local Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Center. The residents really enjoy these cards and our members enjoy giving back to our community.
